When visiting vegan sanctuaries, consumption of animals’ flesh, digestive secretions (honey) & female reproductive secretions (dairy/eggs) is prohibited and clearly stated. Likewise, one would anticipate a similar ethical response ~ the consumption of victims’ flesh and secretions would be explicitly prohibited at a 207-mile March‘to end animal abuse & stop the violence’.
The event caterer is described (officially) as a “vegan caterer”. At other places, the business allegedly sells the flesh of fishes, shrimp, sharks, cows, piglets, pigs, chicks and chickens; and has historically advertised their “VEGAN and NON VEGAN fest”. What impression does this leave, and are not the victims of carniste caterers valued as dearly as the beagles in New York?
Are breeders and vivisectors harming and exploiting our animal kin any more so than carniste-communities/society-at-large is harming, oppressing, exploiting, and violating our animal kin?

Time and time again, animal advocacy events are organized by noble, well-meaning, ethical vegans, yet, continually (decade after decade) the imperative, very important message of authentic Veganism (which is animal liberation / justice / nonviolence) is intentionally omitted from the general public view (websites, signage, press releases, speeches, mainstream interviews, etc.)

Without reaching a tipping point of Veganism, the injustices and atrocities happening in our world will only continue, in one form or another, at carniste universities, restaurants, businesses, hospitals, homes and institutions. Human/animal liberation, justice and freedom is obviously impossible without the consistent (& unashamed) advocacy and practice of Veganism.
More Thoughts on Deep Veganism:
Atrocities aren’t just limited to injustice, violence & conflict. That which is clearly recognized by deep veganism is – all that carniste humanity does to our animal kin inevitably and eventually will be done to humans (“As we sow we will reap”). In vivisection and other carniste institutions (such as animal ag), the primary practice is AI – forced artificial insemination of femalesfor the purpose ofreproduction (andmammary secretion production/dairy)and further exploitation of the Beings whom those females birth. Thus, one can connect the dots that misogyny, historically and currently, could be understood as a possible type of karmic consequence of the global carniste community / society.
It is well-known that scientists have, for years, both in science laboratories & animal ag, been genetically modifying animals to be mass controlled and “dumbed down” ~ so as tobe obedient, exhibit learned helplessnessand be easily manipulatedand deceived.With that knowledge, one can question whether the behaviors of the “lab Beagles” is simply due to being a “docile” breed, or does it possibly point to genetic manipulation. The vast population of humans could also possibly be genetically modified/manipulated, for example, via mass coerced injections, etc. (Likewise, learned helplessness / submission is a characteristic common in equines due to equestrianism.) What goes around comes around. Authentic Veganism is essential for freedom and peace on Earth.

Chapter 3 begins with quotes by Maimonides and Arthur Koestler about humanity’s relationship with other beings and the destructive patterns in history. Because society operates with a lack of understanding of interconnectedness, and the continued suppression of awareness of the cruelty inherent in our commodification and consumption of animals, this leads to broader societal injustice and dysfunction. This ‘Taboo Against Knowing‘ ignorance perpetuates a cycle of co-dependence on harmful practices that ultimately lead to societal dystopia because the animals’ suffering eventually reflects back on humanity. ‘An Interconnected Suffering‘ – By imprisoning, harming and exploiting animals, and stripping them of their intelligence and purpose, this ultimately results in human societies based on domination instead of connection and partnership. The actions taken against animals for food have ramifications that inevitably return to humanity. By adopting a vegan diet and co-creating a Vegan paradigm on Earth, we can foster a culture of respect and care, and we can begin to heal underlying injustice, misogyny, violence, and dysfunction in society.
