Thank you for caring enough to hear & be heard, for your support of nonprofit Community radio, and for your compassionate, wise Vegan activism. Vegan Nation is a 1/2 hour radio show (On-Air since 2015) featuring vegan music, news, events & interviews. Vegan Nation embraces the philosophy of deep veganism – human freedom, social justice & world peace require animal liberation. (As we collectively sow, humanity eventually reaps.) Tami Hay is a poet, barefoot walker, animal lover, grandmother, teacher of love’s power, raw-food vegan chef, somatic registered massage therapist, and a whole-food vegan Nutritionist.

Tami has recovered from severe illness with Crohn’s and colitis, and after witnessing many others heal in world-renowned wellness clinics, Tami earned a master’s degree in live food nutrition and has since studied with some of the world’s best integrative MDs. She now teaches others the wisdom of food as medicine. Tami firmly believes that there are natural alternatives to current agricultural and medical practices, and that making changes to your lifestyle can be easier and much more joyful than you think.

At her log home outside Edmonton, Alberta, she hosts retreats, offers one-on-one nutritional and spiritual counselling, teaches food classes, gives therapeutic massage, and supports individuals in her home to detox and heal.  Tami hosts a podcast and is the author of three books. She is currently finishing her HEAL Protocol course and is also writing “Griefmapping,” a book inspired by her own creative struggles with the environmental and spiritual challenges posed by our present time.

Tami loves long walks in the woods and cold plunges. She shares her country home with the people she helps heal; her partner, Paul; and many friends, family members, retreat participants, yogis, foodies, plants and sprouts.
Her love for her grandchildren and all children inspired Tami to launch an organization called A Million Vegan Grandmothers, which promotes a vegan lifestyle for the liberation of humans, the earth and animals.
