Gustavo Pacheco is a Costa Rican entrepreneur with a broad history in the promotion and organization of sporting and cultural events in his country as well as in Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America. At an early age, he became the manager and promoter of several of the most important artists of contemporary Costa Rican music, with whom he recorded and released more than a dozen recordings.
From 1992 to 2012 he was the CEO of Pro Motor Sport, the management company of the La Guácima Race Track and promoter of more than 250 motor, kart and motorcycle competitions. Between 1993 and 1996, he founded and implemented the GT of the Americas, a motor racing championship that took place in Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. In 1997 he promoted the Ferrari Challenge in Venezuela.
He was general producer of the three Imperial Festivals, 2006, 2008 and 2012, which are to date the most important musical events in the country as they presented artists such as Sting, Jamiroquai, Duran Duran, Seal, Maroon 5, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins to name some. He was also the producer of other individual concerts of Depeche Mode, Aerosmith, Shakira, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel and many others.
In 2010 he was producer of the logistics of the inauguration of the National Stadium of Costa Rica, an event that for two weeks summoned 500 thousand people and included two international football matches of the selection of Costa Rica, against China and Argentina. In addition to an international marathon, four concerts with international artists, boxing fights and many others. In 2012 he designed the concept of a entertainment center at La Guacima Race Track and sold it to Grupo Nacion. It became to be Parque Viva.From 2012 he is the CEO of Costa Rica Entertainment Group (CREG) from where he has promoted the Costa Rican Motocross Championship, La Copa del Café, the most important junior tennis event in Central America, the German Expo and many other sports and musical events .
In October 2015, after seeing the documentary Cowspiracy and confirming the impact that the agricultural industry generates on the environment, he decided to adopt the vegan style. At the end of 2016, he founded the company Mundo Vegano.
