NARD statement (May 31, 2024): “There is so much suffering for all species of beings on this planet, always, and especially right now. And it seems like it is all caused by us, the human species, not being able to recognize our unity, the sanctity of all life, and the fact that we are all sisters and brothers on this fragile planet, rotating in space.

As members of this species, we at Our Planet. Theirs Too., the NARD leadership, and our organizers, including those in Tel Aviv, abhor the violence, bloodshed and wars that humans inflict on each other, on our fellow Earthlings, and on our shared home, over differences of skin color, ideas, or a piece of Earth which is not ours to grab in the first place. We are all merely guests on this Earth, which we call ‘Our planet‘.

But it’s theirs too. And while we cannot solve all the human-made injustices, we’ve banded together from around the world to solve the one injustice which we are best equipped to handle: giving a voice to the voiceless – humanity’s forgotton and silenced victims: the fish suffocating in a trawler net, the chicken shackled in the slaughterhouse, the mother pig unable to move in her bare enclosure, the wounded mouse in the laboratory cage and all the other nonhuman animals whose lives on Earth humans make into Hell.

For that purpose, we have established a National Animal Rights Day in more than 60 countries: one day a year when we ask our fellow humans to put their differences and disagreements aside, come together, and stand shoulder to shoulder around the world for our nonhuman fellow Earthlings. And for them only. Just for one day.

On this day, we also ask for the cooperation of other animal rights groups, in order to maximize our unity and our ability to bring forth a massive change for nonhuman animals. We do not want to dwell on what divides us: Us, as then they suffer even more. We want to hold on to what unites us: Them.

So in this spirit of unity, we call upon all of you today to overcome the pain of violence, the pain of separation, and the pain of hatred, and seek peace and reconciliation. As Buddha said: “Hatred does not cease hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.”

All donations collected at the NARD events this year will be sent to groups helping animals affected by the current war in the Middle East.

Thank you,

Our Planet. Theirs Too. and The National Rights Day”

From the book, Food for Freedom (p.115):
“As individuals we are being tested during these times in demanding ways. What we see unfolding since 2020 is the most sophisticated, expensive, well-organized, and far-reaching psychological, medical, economic, and physical assault on humanity-at-large in the history of the world. It was clearly a trans-national operation, with globalist plutocrats functioning primarily through the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations and thereby controlling national health agencies, governments, academia, and media. Children, the elderly, and small business owners were especially targeted, but all of us, with the exception of the wealthiest class, were assaulted and have had our freedoms eroded. Fortunately, there have been resilient pockets of higher awareness, and as the months and years have gone by, increasing numbers of us are awakening to the realities of the pervasive deception.”
From the interview: “When we liberate animals, then and ONLY then, will we be in a position to actually have freedom for ourselves…” – Dr. Will Tuttle

Vegan Grandmothers Speak – A poem by Tami Hay, founder of Million Vegan Grandmothers (written April 10, 2024)

Photo and poem on grief by Tami Hay – THE SOUNDING

THE SOUNDING

There is something sounding in my heart,
A calling we can seek to hear
From the bottom of my grief,
Sunk right down to the hidden reef
Where, cracked wide open,
I feel it ALL.

Until I hit this bottom,
I lightly rode the waves,
I didn’t weep
Or feel the urgent stir, so deep,
To free all sentient souls
in thrall

I couldn’t see the shells and bones
Littering the sand below,
Those castoffs hidden
In my underwater midden,
“Less worthy are some,” I thought, to try and
cover sin.

Now something draws my eye,
Not from on deck,
But from sand-grazed knees,
And through the murk of blood-soaked seas,
A vent or fissure, through which God’s light
Seeps slowly in…

Geoengineering Watch – Dr. Susan Craig – Certified Veganic – April 9, 2024

Listen to the replay (28 minutes, 44 seconds audio .mp3) at the link above. Thank you. Vegan Nation interview with Dr. Susan Craig. APRIL 9, 2024 Tune in Tuesday 4 PM EDT wcuw.org/listen WCUW 91.3 FM. Hosted by Marlene Narrow, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Much thanks to all. Vegan Nation Archives: vegansradio.com

Dr. Susan Craig, a longtime vegan for the animals, lives on an off-grid mini-farm in Northern California, where she grows food crops and manages a small, private sanctuary for rescued animals. Dr. Craig is a founding member of the North American Veganic Certification Standard (certifiedveganic.org). Her farm, Happy Chihuahua Acres, is the first Certified Veganic farm in California and is home to 12 dogs, 5 cats, 7 goats, 2 miniature horses, 3 ponies, and 1 sheep.

Susan experienced first hand the effects of anthropogenic climate change in 2017 when her home at the time was destroyed in a massive wildfire. Following this life-altering event she became increasingly aware of the ongoing presence of jet aircraft spraying long, thick trails of silvery white dispersions in the skies (The scientific term is stratospheric aerosol injection or SAI.) above her rural homestead. This observation propelled a deep dive into learning as much as possible about the widespread covert practice of climate engineering and how it jeopardizes all life on Earth.

This interview on Vegan Nation focuses on one aspect of weather modification, the practice of chemically nucleated winter weather. Promising news about Tennessee’s ground-breaking legislation to ban climate engineering will also be discussed. Susan will also share updates about the growing interest in Veganic Certification. Dr. Craig recommends geoengineeringwatch.org as the go-to source for well-researched, credible information on the subject of climate engineering. (VEGAN NATION Photos)
